Did you know that it is World Breastfeeding Week?
World Breastfeeding Week is organized each year by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA), a global network whose aim is to protect, promote and support breastfeeding around the world. This one-week social media push is “to highlight the huge benefits that breastfeeding can bring to both the health and welfare of the babies, as well as a wider push for maternal health - focusing on good nutrition, poverty reduction and food security.”
We at Coco’s Closet will use our social media platforms this month in support of breastfeeding, in support of family work leave and nursing mothers at work, in support of normalizing nursing in public places – and also to provide helpful resources to those seeking more information. Let’s start a conversation!
