Finally, we can put an end to eating fruit that comes out of cans and is usually full of chemicals that we can’t even pronounce properly. No matter how convenient canned fruit can be, it still can’t beat the nutrients and vitamins that come from fresh fruit.
Another thing that we love about fruits is that they’re easy to eat. You don’t have to cook them or know how to use a knife to be able to enjoy their sweet, succulent taste. Tomato-Watermelon Salad
Tomatoes are rich in a substance called lycopene while watermelons are known for their high water content. Combine these two main ingredients and you get a salad that’s delicious, refreshing and bursting with nutrients.
4 cups coarsely chopped tomatoes (about 1½ lbs)
2 cups coarsely chopped seedless watermelon
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
¼ cup chopped pistachios
Toss the tomatoes and watermelons with olive oil, mint, and vinegar. Add salt and pepper to taste. Top with pistachios.
