Exercise Anytime, Anywhere: The 5 Best Fitness Channels on YouTube

As a flight attendant, my cousin travels all around the world. Despite being exposed to delicious cuisine and the stressful nature of his job, he manages to keep fit and it always amazes me. I asked him about it a few days ago, because I really thought he was enrolled in gyms all over the world. He laughed and told me that aside from using hotel gyms, he also subscribes to a couple of fitness channels on YouTube.

Each time he arrives in a new country, he works out using the videos as a guide. He told me that not only does his YouTube gym habit save him money, it also exposes him to different kinds of exercise programs. It gives him an opportunity to exercise anytime, anywhere.

If you need a little inspiration or want to add a little spice to your workouts, check out these YouTube fitness channels:

  1. Channel Name: Be Fit

Who says you have to be an A-lister to have access to their trainers? Be Fit is a channel that offers free workouts led by the likes of Jane Fonda, Jillian Michaels and Dr. Deepak Chopra. These celebrity trainers share their secrets to keeping their clientele fit and happy with 10–20 minute workouts that burn fat and tone muscles. Among our favorites is this energizing hip hop workout led by Gabriella Kaiser:

  1. Channel Name: POPSUGAR Fitness

With videos named “Become Beyoncé With This Sexy Dance Workout”, who wouldn’t get hooked on the POPSUGAR Fitness channel? POPSUGAR Fitness features group workouts and individual workouts that exercise the whole body or target specific areas such as the abs or arms. One of our favorite videos from this channel is The 30 Minute No-Equipment Body Weight Workout, which shows us that you don’t have to buy fancy gym equipment to get the body you want!

  1. Channel Name: Blogilates

Casey Ho is on a mission. A mission to turn anybody into a fitness buff by changing the way they think about fitness. While most channels only post video workouts, Casey also posts videos about self-acceptance, diet plans and style. She believes that fitness is also about making changes in other aspects in your life, not just the way you work out. She has gained quite the following on YouTube and has been featured by numerous TV shows and magazines.

  1. Channel Name: Fitness Blender

Fitness gurus and real-life partners Daniel and Kelly offer their subscribers over 400 full-length workout videos for free. They’ve got everything from yoga to kettle bell to high-intensity interval training workouts, which makes this truly a ‘blended’ channel. What we appreciate the most about their site is that you can search for workouts depending on the type, length, difficulty, targeted areas, or calorie burn you prefer. This is especially helpful for those who are just starting their fitness journey because you won’t get intimidated by advanced practice videos – you can start at your own fitness level!

  1. Channel Name: Tara Stiles

Yoga is a great way to relax your mind and body in one workout. Tara Stiles offers us a wide range of videos according to your needs. For example, if you’re looking to start the day right, you can follow her Morning Yoga Routine, or if you want to work out without leaving your comfy bed, you can check out her Morning Yoga in Bed Routine.
